ActionAid realises that their own people are the key to their ability to empower others. The International Senior Women Leadership Development Programme (WLD) is one of their leadership transformation initiatives.

"The purpose of the programme is to build leadership capabilities and behaviours of women through personal and professional management, value based leadership and performance accountabilities," says Stanley Aramugam, International Director of ActionAid.

Free To Grow was appointed to facilitate the 2nd WLD Face to Face, held in Johannesburg on 5 - 9 September 2011. Senomi de Villiers had the privilege of facilitating the 5 day programme for nineteen remarkable women leaders from around the world.

Mehroonisa Vania, International Capacity Building Coordinator, said that the delegares were delighted with the fresh approach to faciilitation.

"Free To Grow's methodology and innovative facilitation techniques were a pleasant change from the conventional methods of training. Senomi is vibrant and has a beautiful way of bringing out the best in delegates. She put every one at ease and allowed them the space to 'be themselves' while still being able to challenge where necessary. The dynamic was one of openness, cohesion and courage.

"Free To Grow has made it's mark by being a catalyst, helping women leaders in their journey of personal growth in the 21st century, where leadership is tested by the ability to adapt to any situation."
